NINTENDO NEWS: METROID PRIME HUNTERS WILL BE WI-FI READY

Since the Nintendo DS™ first launched with demo versions of Metroid® Prime Hunters, fans have been clamoring for the completed version of the game. Their patience has paid off. Metroid Prime Hunters will launch in the first quarter of 2006, complete with access to Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection, Nintendo’s upcoming online gaming service. Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection will debut before the end of the year with a Mario Kart® and an Animal Crossing® game, and will let players connect wirelessly with one another as easily as if they were sitting in the same room.
For the first time, fans can get their hands on a trial version of the new single-player mission of Metroid Prime Hunters this weekend at the Penny Arcade Expo in Bellevue, Wash. Attendees also can see three previously unreleased bounty hunter characters in the game. These include Sylux, a ruthless sharpshooter who harbors an intense hatred for Metroid heroine Samus Aran; Trace, a young outcast who seeks power and a planet to invade; and Weavel, a cyborg Space Pirate assassin. Happy 3 Years in Seattle!
So, this Monday, marks my 3rd year anniversary here in Seattle. Actually, to be more precise, Aug. 15th is when I first started work, but I arrived in Seattle (Bellevue, really) at like 2am, 2 days earlier...
So, how did I go and celebrate this?...
Why, I went to an Mariners game where I went onto the field and CATCH THE FIRST PITCH OF THE GAME :)
Actually, Saturday was Nintendo Day at Safeco where I already purchased 24 tickets for my friends to the game in the cheap seats (nosebleed) to watch them play against the LA Angels.
About 3 days before the game, I learned that I had won the right to CATCH the first pitch at the game. I was absolutely blown away with this chance. Another employee won the other right to throw the pitch.
Anyways, actually I decided to keep this a secret...I wanted to surprise all my friends at the game when I walked on to the field, with my face on the Jumbletron and catch the ball in front of the filled stadium and then get to meet all the players while I was down there.
Of course, that never happened...
The employee who threw the ball actually threw the ball very WIDE and I couldn't catch it :( And to add insult to injury, NONE OF MY FRIENDS SAW IT!! Either they didn't get to the park early enough to see it or just missed it while talking to each other (it was NOT a very excitingly announced event). Lesson learnt...when you know you are about to THROW or CATCH the first pitch at a game, TELL YOUR FRIENDS!!!
Also...we only got to pose and get an autograph from only ONE PLAYER of whom even our PR person didn't know (Turns out to be No. 52 pitcher George Sherrill). And...the Moose (Mariner's Mascot) didn't even come to take pictures with us :(
The game was okay. Actually, kinda boring. Seattle got slaughter by the Angels like 9-1 (only run scored by Seattle was a homerun by Ichiro).
But still, one INCREDIBLE DAY!!

Fantastic Four
No, its not about that horrible movie I refuse to see...
Turns out I am currently on 4 PROJECTS, all doing something different on each.
And just today, I was just told I won the EMPLOYEE of the MONTH for this month (for all the 4 project work I did last month). That means a cool wall plaque and rockstar parking in the front!! WOOT!!
Anyways, despite that, I am really not as busy as you think. Er...busy with work, I mean. I actually been having a lot of fun lately, and i have been really happy and great. In fact, been doing a lot of outdoorsy stuff, like hiking (Mt. Si, Mt. Rainer and the City of Vancouver) and Tennis and Soccer (starting today) and Baseball (starting soon). And I have been having fun in other ways too (will get back to you on that later)... :)
Just one of those GREAT months...
