Anyways...I am going to change stuff on this web blog now, changing look and layout and adding some nifty new stuff.
Special thx to Leila who did this new look for the page!
And keep checking back for new stuff!
And oh yeah...Vancouver entry coming soon, and with pictures.

TripCity!
This weekend: Going to Vancouver to meet Danny and PIMP his wares, Showdown Fightwear in Kelowna BC. That's 4 hours away from Vancouver! Can you say, "Road Trip"?
Next weekend: Spending July the 4th weekend in beautiful San Francisco with Denny and Jon and the rest of those nutty SF crew. Can you say, "Drunken stuper"?

ARCHIVECITY is NOW HAPPENING!!
I have been getting a lot of complaints (ie. Leila) about why my site takes FOREVER to load because I have EVERY POSTS I have ever written on this one page. So, I have been trying to get my Archives to work and with the help of some others (ie. Leila), for some strange reason, Blogger didn't want to give me my archives.
Well, I am happy to say that it NOW works, so that only 15 posts are posted on the front page and all my past posts in past archives in which you can access on the side.
Special thanx to all the moral support over this dilema (ie. Leila). Now that ArchiveCity works, look for s'more changes to iNfoCity. Its been over a year and a change would be nice....stay tuned.

So Tired...
Last nite, I stayed up til 10pm at work. Then I went to a midnight showing the new "Hulk" movie. It was alright...
Movie ended around 2:30am...got home and crashed at 3am...had an dentist appointment around 9am...wanted to just laid there asleep while he worked on my teeth but he insisted on talking to me, even though I was still half asleep...said something about getting all my wisdom teeth removed...oh well...got back to work around 10am in which that is where I am now...but VERY tired. Had a big cup of coffee too...no help :(
And that Harry Potter book comes out tonite around midnight too. Hmmm...for some strange reason, I see myself at Barnes and Noble tonite among a crowd of very young people with lightin' bolt tatoos on their heads.
No sleep for the wicked...

June 19th
June 19th is the day my father passed away, 8 years ago. This is the first time I recognize this date of June 19th, because since his death, I always remembered the date being the day after Father's Day. I also remembered that his funeral was exactly one week later, falling on the same day as my High School graduation. So, my father never got to see me graduate, never saw me graduate school in Vancouver, never saw me move to the US and never saw any of those psycho girls I would hang out with.
Today isn't any different than any other day. I am still at work and work still sucks. The only difference is I took the time to think about him and to write this blog entry about him. I did buy some lottery tickets today which is something he always did but never won. So, if I win with this ticket, then its my father smiling down on me...if not, I am just continuing his wonderful stroke of luck.
I miss you, baba....

How I am doin'
So, its been awhile since I last posted. Sorry...lots has happen. I have been both happy and sad, stressed and relaxed but incredibly busy. Life has taken a lot outta me, and I am only recently recovering.
For the first time in my life, both my work and social life has been less than desirable. Usually, its either one or the other and I would fall back on what's good in order to get back into things. But I was being pulled in two directions this time, with no where to turn for comfort.
On the social side, I lost a really good friend recently. No no, no one died or anything. Basically, I had a really good friend and we got in a fight. I thought we worked it out but it was still awkward between the two of us. Time went by and I began to notice she was ignoring me and I had no idea why, no matter what I did. Though, I didn't believe it at first, I eventually realized that she no longer wanted to talk to me at all, even though I still dont know why. So, I said my "good bye" to her. On the one hand, I got some closure and relieved some much burden off my shoulders. I really didn't need this in my life and I removed it. But on the other hand, I still have this emptiness inside me from losing a friend. It really sucks.
Work has been a little more worst, if not confusing. I have been struggling at work and no matter how hard I work, or how late I stay, I just dont seem to "get it." For the first time in my life, me working hard doesn't equate good work unless I have results and I dont have any. This is very hard for me to accept because I have always been mr. reliable and mr. hardwork but it isn't enough.
So, I had another "talk" with the higher ups about my performance. I fully expected me being talked down, me getting ripped apart and me getting a warning and even me possibly being fired. Instead, I didn't get that at all. What I got was them telling me I should and will be doing something else for the project; less the game design and more of the production side. At this point, I am totally confused. Yes, I am happy they aren't going to fire me, but I also feel bad that they have to "compromise" and find me something else to do. I mean, I was hired to game design, that's why they pay me.
Anyways, worked started sucking because I felt like I let the project down, not to mention, totally useless.
But its not all gloom and doom. Yes, I work long hours, but I have gotten used to it. And sure, I even missed a few major events because of work, but I know there will be others. But during the free time I do get, I have been having fun. I recently bought a pair of inline skates and have been learning to "rollerblade". The moving around part is easy...its the braking I am having problems with.
Did I mention, my friend Josh from San Diego came up to Seattle for the weekend and I got to meet up with him? It was great catching up with him. Of course, it wouldn't be Josh unless he wanted to go to some Dungeons and Dragons Prom in Seattle while he was up. Oddly enough, we ended up going but (un)fortunately, it was already over when we got there. We did catch up with some of the "kids" at this "prom" at the next door bar. Imagine people with wizard getups listening to hip hop in a dive bar. Only with Josh, do I get to see this!
I have a couple of trips that are coming up and am very excited to go do. Its all I really have to look forward to right now. All I can do is just deal with life. Its a little better now, but I still have to work hard. Wish me luck.

Nature Photo Album
I started a new album in my online photo album. I called the album "Nature" and it will showcase all the beautiful Nature shots that I will be takin' as I explore the vast wilderness of the Northwest...
...or not.
Actually, I wanted to start one of these "nature" albums while I still in San Diego, takin pictures of the many beaches that surrounded me. Too bad I didn't have the time to do it then :(
Anyways, to start off, I put in my photos from my hiking trip on Memorial Day weekend. I can't remember the place we went to, but it had a long hiking trail to 3 different levels of a waterfall. It was pretty beautiful...too bad, I dont remember the name (I will find out later).
Anyways, you can check out the photo album here:

Enjoy.

Stand Up Comedy
This Saturday, I went to this houseparty in the "Queen Anne" area of Seattle. And I spent most of the night talking to this awesome asian american female stand up comic. I actually met her before but this time, I really got to sit down and really talk to her.
Anyways, she talked a lot about the stand up comedy industry and how cut thoat it is. She told me about how most comics you see are really assholes in real life and how that the uglier you are, the more funnier you are, but also the most likely you WONT get famous. She also told me how much money a regular stand up makes and its really not enough. Every "regular" comics dream is to be discovered and just a get a TV contract, in which they really wouldn't have to work as much any more.
She also talked about how difficult it was to be an Asian American comic in America because the only way you will "make it" is that you have to do "Ching Chong" jokes, really stereotypical Asian jokes in order to get the laughs and get noticed. She is really "above" that its really hard not to because there are some that demand it almost. Its sad really, but that how it goes. Maraget Cho actually started doing "ching chong" jokes but once she got discovered and famous, she was able to move on from that and now talks about her life experience.
I thought it was really funny that she started referring to all her white audience as "the whities" in which got some of the white people at the party to turns some heads.
She was a cool girl and I hope all the best for her. I do think she will get famous and when she does, I can say I know her!

Hot in Herre
For the last week, Seattle has been incredibly sunny and warm. I mean, ALWAYS SUNNY and HOT. And this is Seattle we are talking about. It hasn't rained in weeks! And its warmer here than its been in San Diego!?! What's going on here?
I am not complaining of course. Everyday has been a wonderful day to just go outside. My only complaints I have is: 1) I am stuck indoors working most of the time and; 2) my apartment, because its on the top floor gets really warm at nights from the heated roof from the day. Nothing too bad though...
I hope this weather stays with us for awhile...
